Creative Vision

Polyarch is a multifaceted architecture & design studio dedicated to creating harmonious designs unique to particular environments, communities, and individuals. Each project, regardless how large or small, is an opportunity to bring our clients' visions to life through careful attention to their needs, and a clear understanding of each project’s unique conditions. With an intimate appreciation of material, craft, technology, and context, the Polyarch team creates each design with a graceful sensibility.

Polyarch was founded by Margaret “Polly” Horne in 2016 in the tree-lined neighborhood of Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. In 2022, the studio expanded south and is now based in Johnson City, Tennessee with a satellite office in Mt. Tremper, NY. With this unique and expansive reach, the Polyarch team is dedicated to realizing sustainable and culturally enriching designs in both northern and southern regions.

A native to the Blue Ridge Mountains, Ms. Horne has a deep connection to the natural world and has dedicated her practice to cultivating sustainable and inspiring built environments. Conscientiously balancing new work with existing conditions - be that a site or an existing structure - is not only practical and environmentally sensitive, this approach gives rise to an enriching sense of place for the benefit of city dwellers and country folk alike.
